Well, we made it through our first expo ever! The Great KC Pet Expo 2013 was so much fun for us. We brought 50 Bostonista! Beds and had so much fun meeting all the pooches that stopped by our booth and took a load off on one of our beds. We made so many new friends and I was even picked to be part of a live interview with Expo Director Cathy Erickson for channel 5, sittin’ on top of one of my beds lookin’ pretty dapper if I do say so myself 😉 I got to meet one of my number one fans, Diana and her daughter Michela, they let me get acquainted with their nostrils and that is most appreciated! We are looking forward to the next expo for sure! [nggallery id=10]

Friends, I can barely type these words but with a sadness I’ve never known I make this post to let you all know that our beloved Zoey has crossed the rainbow bridge. Her issues became too great and too many for her to overcome at her age. On top of everything else she crashed into acute renal failure, it all just became too much for her little body to fight so we chose mercy to allow our precious baby to rest and be free from struggle or pain. Zoey was the love of my life , she changed my life and she changed the life of countless rescue Bostons over the last 15 years. It’s truly the end of an era. The loss feels unspeakable, I don’t know how to be without her we were so connected. She was so very special, so intelligent, so exceptional. She changed my heart. Every dollar ever raised, every Bostonista bed ever made and donated, every foster ever helped was all because of Zoey. She forever changed my life and I was so exceptionally blessed that she found me to be her mom. She gave me the best 15 years of my life and I will be lost without her but so blessed to have loved her. ![]()
Thank you to each and every one of you who have been her friend all these years and helped her achieve such amazing goals in order to help Bostons in need. She was successful because you loved her and believed in her. My heart runneth over in appreciation to you all. ![]()

Lots of great pictures, Zoey! Did you sell some beds to Greyhound’s and Whippets, too?? I see lots of pictures of them =) Looks like you and Mom had a pawesome time and we’re glad you sold lots of beds to make other pups comfy cozy! So happy to see a Boston Terrier Rescue there, too….Snort!
I think so, I can’t remember all of which bought and which stopped in for a nappy! But yes, seemed like there were sooooo many greyhounds, Italian greyhounds and whippits!

This web-challenged dinosaur finally got a chance to look at your website, Zoey, and OH MY GOD, ARE YOU ONE LUCKY LITTLE GIRL! I loved all the pictures from the Pet Expo, but am particularly partial to the pictures of your new friend Rosie (maybe because she’s my canine baby)!
